Be Positive

Throw Away The Negativity

Hello friends Lately I have been hearing so many people say they are going through rough patches in their life. I surely can sympathies. I have had so many rough patches in my life. #1) I was bullied from 1st to 8th grade #2) I was so destroyed I had zero confidence #3) I bought properties that after the bubble popped in 2007, I had to let go #4) my Martial Arts mentor and my Godmother died from terminal cancer. #5) had to close one of my longest running academies after 14 years I was left feeling lonely, depressed & unclear on how to deal with my life on many a occasion. Going back to when I was 13 years old and started to train in Martial Arts, as you all know my mother put me in it, because she knew what it could do for me. I have mentioned the Martial Arts re-built me from the inside out.. made me a better person and created many new long lasting friendships and relationships. What I got out of the training however, was how to stay positive. When I started teaching and realize how important I was to people. Everyday I got a picture a little kid drew, or birthday card. Christmas decorations , a nice sentiment ..whatever, I saved it. I put it all in a drawer, till eventually I had to get a big chest to store it all. What I realized is this was all the positivity in my life. All I had to do was look back in that chest and see what people or students or anyone positive in my life gave me. I would immediately feel better and move on. Sometimes I needed more times than others looking at it, but I would feel better. On the other token anything negative…I throw away. If it reminded me of a bad memory or event ..I chucked it. Gone. Some think this is crazy, but hear me out. By doing this…I have nothing but positivity around me. When your surrounded by positive things and people you can only move forward.. Do this.. Make your positive drawer or box.. fill it with old birthday cards, nice sentiments etc…store it and look at them when your down… And anything negative in your life..throw it away. Get rid of it..don’t look at those or think about it. Always hold what is positive close to you and cherish it, and let go of the negative things in your life..throw it away.
